SME, Sohag University Student Chapter (SME-SOUSC)

The Sohag University Student Chapter of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME-SUC) is a dynamic and award-winning organization dedicated to fostering the professional development of mining geology and engineering students across Egypt and the Middle East. Established in 2019, SME-SOUSC provides a platform for students to connect with industry professionals, gain valuable industry insights, and prepare for successful careers in the mining sector.

Our Mission

Our Activities

  • Industry Site Visits: We organize regular visits to mines, processing plants, and other relevant facilities, providing students with firsthand exposure to real-world mining operations.
